The Winter Atelier exhibition is a festive showcase at ArtsTrail Gallery celebrating a variety of local artists’ achievements and our new member’s work.

There is something for everyone whether you are an arts enthusiast or simply a curious passer looking to experience art for the first time, you will discover classical art, expressionism, abstract art and innovative photography as part of your journey.

Take a trip through memory lane and experience the nostalgia of the local scenes of Leamington Spa and Warwickshire by various artists such as Rupert Cordeaux winner of the Channel 4 WaterColour Challenge and various photographers including Hilary Roberts whose digital art is a favourite with gallery visitors.

View original oil paintings by Leamington Spa’s very own Joseph Mallord William Turner AKA Roger Chamley the infamous Coventry based artist whose visual poetry effortlessly at a stroke creates impressive arable land and seascapes in the Dutch master’s tradition. Turn the corner and discover more contemporary art and impressionistic styles with its variety of colour and movement accented with Catherine Knee ethereal digital art will transport you to another magical world of surreal water reflections. Another corner and we view a local scene of Kenilworth Castle or Jephson Gardens amidst the winter snow. Don’t forget the gift cards and calendars by local artists available at the gallery too. Up and coming photographer Gurpreet Palaha discovered her work titled “Meet me at the Post Office ” has already started to make its way to someone’s home on time for Christmas! Experience the sensitive delicate botanical ink drawings of local award-winning florist and artist Sarah Horne complimented with swathes of floral colour by Uthaya Swaboda’s watercolours, reflecting the simplicity of nature in its glory, punctuated by Kevin Ennis’ contemporary photography series “Flowers in Victoria Park”.

There is craft activity for children at the gallery featuring a children’s whilst parent’s browse but watch out for the secret mischievous elves bringing laughs and surprises to visitors too!

Winter Atelier exhibition is open throughout December and January at the ArtsTrail Gallery, Royal Priors Centre, Leamington Spa from 11am – 5.30pm Monday to Saturday. (Closed Sundays.)

It is a rotating exhibition, so visitors are encouraged to visit often throughout its duration.

We are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year Day. Children and adults are all welcome. Exhibition closes Saturday 29th January 2022.
