30th June until 12th July 2015 IAPS school art competition exhibition. chameleonSince 2013 the Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS) has been running an annual art competition, the IAPS Art Competition (or iART Competition). This an opportunity to focus on the innovative and inspiring artwork produced in their schools.

The 2015 judge Helen Nall, an animal portrait artist and estate/shoot maps producer, said: “I would like to say how impressed I was with the standard of artwork and the breadth of imagination, using a wide range of mediums and techniques.”

“There was great attention to detail in some pictures and also a vibrancy to them. When you are an artist, pictures ‘talk’ to you – albeit with colours and shapes, rather than words – and I enjoyed ‘listening’ to what they told me!”

ArtsTrail is hosting an exhibition of many of the works from 30th June until 12th July. Come along and see work by children from across the globe.

You can also read the (PDF) booklet containing information about each pupil’s winning piece of artwork.
